The only locally made and sold jam in Woodstock, CT for over 20 Years!

Flavors

Strawberry:

The classic fruit for marmalades.  Local fresh organic strawberries collected from own farm.  The whole sweet strawberry — and a lot of them — fill each jar to the rim.

Strawberry Rhubarb:

The most natural paring of flavors of any jam we make– and, our most popular.  We use local fresh strawberries with rhubarb that we grow right on-property.  And, the day we pick rhubarb is the day our jam is made!  Nothin’ is fresher!

Strawberry with Cranberry:

Our sweet strawberry jam, made with local fresh strawberries, is cut with the tangy flavor of whole cranberries.

Wild Maine Blueberry:

Blueberry is the new wonder berry– and the tiny wild Maine blueberry is simply the best of the best!  Although this berry is the smallest berry in our kitchen, its flavor stands up to all others!

Wild Maine Blueberry with Peach:

The new wonder berry with peaches from the original kitchen’s farm–  (that’s as local and organic as you can get!)

Wild Maine Blueberry with sliced lemon:

This flavor is the result of a lemon jag I was on a bit ago.  Organic lemon peel, sliced razor thin, and added to the blueberries during the last few moments of the last few moments in the cooking process.  The peel softens, some altogether dissolves–  gives you a lemon zing with the already gorgeous blueberry taste.

Blackberry with Spiced Ginger:

Created this unusual combination on a cold fall day.  The savory berry with the seasonal ginger and spices present a most unique flavor together.

Raspberry:

There’s nothing wrong and everything right about the raspberry!  For me, it’s the perfect berry.  In fact, it was making raspberry jam that brought me into this business!  Note- the seeds are not strained out.  Most people don’t mind, but if you prefer a seedless jams, please consider our other preserves.

Raspberry Rhubarb:

When I offer jam tastings, just about everyone who tries this jam, buys it.  Pairing raspberry with rhubarb is unique.  The result is not just delicious, but surprisingly delicious.

Plum:

You don’t find plum jam everywhere, and I’m not sure why.  The distinct flavor of the plum is unlike any other preserve that we make.  In fact, those that buy this jam, usually buy it by the case!  Sweet and subtle.

Plum with Vintage Port:

While sipping an aged port, on a freezing winter day, it occurred to me that warmth and deep flavor of port would be a lovely match with the plum.  As I experimented with the new the recipe, I told myself that IF the flavor of a great port was lost in the cooking, I’d toss out the idea for this preserve.  I am pleased to report that the lovely, smooth taste was not wasted, and a new combination was borne!  The balance of the plum flavor, with an exceptional port behind it, are independent but perfectly complimentary.

Seville Orange Marmalade:

Ideally, I’d have everyone taste this marmalade before buying it, since it’s most definitely not a sweet orange preserve.  This hand-cut classic English marmalade is made from the Seville Orange– which leaves a tingle on your tongue!  The bitter Seville Orange is getting increasingly difficult to find.  Groves are pulling up this orange tree and replacing it with the popular selling sweet orange that’s used in juicing!  So, each year, it’s a labor of love (and my tribute to AH) to find this orange.  If any jam is THE classic marmalade, it’s the Seville Orange Marmalade.

Seville Orange Marmalade with Scotch Whiskey:

Seville Orange Marmalade with Scotch Whiskey – The classic marmalades with touch of kinship kick.  Only the best Scotch is used in this marmalade…really, nothing else could stand up to this fruit.

Lavender Jelly:

Our most intoxicating preserve!  This delicacy is our own private recipe, and is made from organic lavender buds grown at the award-winning organic gardens at Fort Hill Farms in Thompson, CT.  Kristin Orr, the jardiner par excellence from Fort Hill Farms, lovingly hand-picks the lavender for this unique and exquisite preserve.  If you’ve never tasted lavender, treat yourself at least once!
